ASB-16
Synthetic detergent with a C16 alkyl chain. Useful for solubilizing proteins for 2D-analysis. ASB-16 shows better protein solubilization properties than CHAPS and in some cases than ASB-14, resulting in improved detection of membrane proteins by 2D-electrophoresis.
