Synthetisches Detergenz mit einem C14-Alkylschwanz. Es ist nützlich für die Solubilisierung von Proteinen für die 2D-Analyse. ASB-14 zeigt bessere Protein-Solubilisierungseigenschaften als CHAPS, wodurch die Identifizierung von bisher unentdeckten Membranproteinen ermöglicht wurde.
