Staining Reagents
All staining reagents for protein and nucleic acid electrophoresis are of course not only ultrapure qualities but as well extensively tested in SERVA’s application lab. The use in the production of SERVA’s staining kits guarantees a constantly high lot to lot quality.
Protein gels
SERVA
Blue G (cat. no. 35050) or SERVA Blue R (cat. no. 35051) are
suitable for preparing sensitive staining solutions for SDS PAGE gels, while SERVA
Violet (cat. no. 35072) is particularly recommended for staining IEF gels.
SERVA's
ready-to-use Ponceau S solution (cat. no. 33427) allows easy,
reversible protein staining on transfer membranes to check blot efficiency.
SERVA
ProteinStain Fluo-R is a highly sensitive fluorescent dye for the staining
of proteins, e.g. in SDS-PAGE, native PAGE or 2D-gels. The dye is Western
Blotting and MS compatible and can be combined with silver or DIGE staining.
DNA/RNA
gels
SERVA DNA Stain G (cat. no. 39803) and SERVA DNA Stain
Clear G (cat. no. 39804) are a safe, non-carcinogenic alternative to
traditional ethidium bromide. Sensitivity is at least as high as that of
ethidium bromide and they can be used in exactly the same way in agarose gel
electrophoresis.
Highest sensitivity is achieved with SERVA HiSens Stain
G (cat. no. 39805), a highly sensitive, non-carcinogenic, non-toxic
nucleic acid fluorescent dye that has been specially developed for use in the
in gel staining of agarose gels.
