Urea is a chaotropic agent used for the denaturation of proteins and as a mild solubilization agent for insoluble or denatured proteins. It is used in denaturing polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (urea PAGE) for DNA sequencing and separation of oligos and RNA.
Quality suitable for all molecular biology applications, DNase/RNase not detected.
