cells in culture. Glutamine provides the necessary nitrogen, carbon and the
reducing equivalents required for cell growth and division during cell culture.
L-glutamine
degrades relatively rapidly in liquid media or stock solutions. Therefore,
optimal cell performance usually requires supplementation of the media with
L-glutamine prior to use.
