This extremely pure bovine albumin (BSA; purity > 99,0 %) is ideally suited for highly sensitive test systems requiring a uniform protein background and as a standard for protein and molecular weight determinations. It is also used as a haptic carrier for antibody production, as a stabiliser and for diluting enzymes, antibodies and other sensitive biopolymers, as well as in various cell and molecular biology applications.
The crystalline form of SERVA's purest bovine albumin makes handling and weighing much easier. The manufacturing process includes heat shock fractionation, ion exchange chromatography and triple recrystallisation.
