Agarose pressed into tablet form for the analytical and preparative electrophoresis of DNA fragments. One advantage of these agarose tablets is that no agarose has to be weighed out. This allows highly reproducible results in combination with very easy handling. Simply dissolve the required number of tablets in running buffer. After 5 minutes, the suspension is heated in the microwave until the agarose is completely dissolved.
