NN-Lauroylsarkosin, Na-Salz (30 %ige Lösung)
Sarkosyl-Tenside können als modifizierte Fettsäuren betrachtet werden, bei denen die Kohlenwasserstoffkette durch eine Amidomethyl- (-CONCH3-) Gruppe unterbrochen ist. Die Struktur ist ähnlich wie bei Seifen, aber durch die Sarkosylgruppe weisen sie eine bessere Wasserlöslichkeit und keine Empfindlichkeit gegenüber Calciumionen auf. Die Laurinsäure in unserem Produkt ist pflanzlichen Ursprungs.
In der Biotechnologie wird N-Lauroylsarcosinat hauptsächlich zur Isolierung und Charakterisierung von DNA, Proteinen und Enzymen sowie zur Gewebehomogenisierung eingesetzt. Verdünnte Lösungen von N-Lauroylsarcosinat zeigen bei saurem pH-Wert bakteriostatische Eigenschaften.
