N-Dodecyl-N,N-dimethylammonio-3-propane sulfonate
The zwitterionic detergent N-Dodecyl-N,N-dimethylammonio-3-propane sulfonate is primarily characterized by its applicability over a wide pH range.
Sulfobetaine 3-12 is of interest for the investigation of photosystem particles and for preparation of virosomes.
N-Dodecyl-N, N-dimethylammonio-3-propane sulfonate is an effective desorbing agent in biospecific and bioselective affinity chromatography. It can also be used for the purification of active ribosomal complexes via adsorption onto cellulose membranes with subsequent surfactant-mediated desorption.
